The incompatibility issues between Chromecast and Apple base stations have been well documented on many Internet forums. Solutions range from making sure that your AirPort uses a simple (no spaces) base station name to downgrading firmware. None seem to be a permanent solution. Note: Even Google's Cast Router Compatibility website doesn't even show AirPorts beyond the 1st generation models and even they are limited for compatibility.
