Q: changed sim from another phone and put into iphone but now there is no service and in settings there is no carrier showing

I have changed from Samsung to iphone and it is coming up no service. When I go into settings it does not show a carrier but does show EE as network

it seems that ur iPhone is locked to a certain carrier , u can contact the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked and ask for unlocking the iPhone , only that carrier can unlock it,it's easy and I done it b4,good luck and best regards.

Good luck with getting EE to unlock but they will expect you to be a customer to start the process
can you get the previous owner to have EE unlock it ?
This how the process works once they agree to unlock the iPhone for you ( or I should say IF )
