Call dropped, no record in recent calls

This has happened a couple of times since I upgraded to iPhone 6 with iOS 8. I'll be in the middle of a (usually lengthy) phone conversation when the call cuts out. I try waking my phone up to see if it dropped the call, but the phone is unresponsive for about 10 seconds or so. When it does come to life again, it doesn't say the call was dropped or even that it was made at all; when I go into my recent calls list, it's disappeared completely. This happened just now, with the latest software update installed.

This phenomenon is seemingly random. Has this happened to anyone else? Fixes??

I've had a variant of that, in which my iPhone 5s w/ iOS8 / T-Mobile drops incoming calls immediately upon answering them. Then like with you, there is no record of the call in the recents log, so I don't even know how to call the number back. The first time it happened, it happened 3 times in rapid succession. The second time it happened was a month later and it happened twice in a row.

Both times it appears that powering the phone off and restarting fixed the issue.

But this is a pretty horrible bug for a phone, as answering calls should be a pretty basic function. Both incidents occurred during calls with a potential employer, the first set of calls were an initial phone interview. I mean, how much worse can your phone mess with you than to repeatedly hang up on your potential employer the first time they call you?

I got the job, but no thanks to my phone.
