Backed up mac, wiped, and can't find keychain passwords

Hello!

So, I recently backed up my Mac manually (duplicating Library, Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, Downloads, and some other files), wiped the computer, and then went through the process of reinstalling the OS, which is WAY easier than on windows. However, I appear to have run into a dillema. After resetting I realized I needed some stuff on Keychain, and proceeded to look for a file that would have had the passwords by looking at stuff associated with the new Keychain Access installed on the mac. After trying multiple files, I was unable to recover the passwords. My general question: Does anyone know where the passwords are stored for Keychain Access? Specifically, are they in hidden files in the OS, somewhere in Library, or something like that?

Thanks!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
