Q: I set up Family Sharing, but unable to approve family app requests

I set up Family Sharing and turned on the Ask to Buy feature. My daughter tried to download an app, received the message to Ask Permission, but I never received a message to approve the purchase...so she's unable to download the app. I checked that my apple id is correct...why am I not receiving the message to give permission? please help!

Well you have iOS 4 so you would be unable to use Family Sharing at all. That would be the first issue.

AActually, I have ios 8 on all devices...you can disregard the iOS 4 portion of my question.

Much better haha. I would make sure you are the Organizer under Settings > iCloud > Family and make sure Share Purchases is turned on for both you and your Daughter. I'm not sure if the sharing would affect it but it's possible. I know there are more settings for a child account but I'm not sure of them. Check her settings in the same area as well. Try toggling Ask to buy.
