Q: CD's to an MP3 format using my MacBook Pro

I need to copy my CD's to an MP3 format using my MacBook Pro. I need to do this because my new Garmin 590 GPS only recognized MP3.

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
