How to unredeem a gift card?

I Havent spent any money on my account. I redeemed the card before I realized id rather spend my money on something else. Is there a way I can put the code away and off my account for an exchange?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.1

Not on your own. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of the balance has been spent.
