iPhone 5s infected with virus. HELP!

When ever I open apps pornographic adds pop up and open the app store or Instagram. This initially only happened in the Sportscenter app, so I thought the app was infected, however this has spread to numerous other apps and even safari. The pornographic ads recently began opening up Instagram or webpages. There are even pop-ups that come up when I'm using safari or apps. I know everyone says iPhones can't get viruses but my phone definitely has one! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling apps. I have even restored my phone, but this has only gotten worse. The adds include a website called "adult finder" and take me to the app store to download pornographic and sexual apps. My phone is not jailbroken nor has it ever been and I am having no problems on my macbook pro. Someone please help me!

If you are willing to start afresh - settings- general- reset - reset all content and settings. Then reset the device and see if you still have the issue. You will lose all your data and contents doing this.

I called apple support and they walked me through a reset, but the problem has not gone away. Is it possible my wireless router is infected? I haven't had any problems on my computer and my roommate hasn't had anything happen to his computer/phone either

You do not have a virus. There are no viruses for iPhones. You DO have some nasty data in the Safari app.

Go to Settings/Safari and Clear History and WebSite data.
Turn on Fraudulent Website Warning.
Tap Block Cookies and Allow from Current Website Only.
Turn on Block Popups

If that doesn't resolve it you will have to restore the phone and set it up as New. Do not reload your backup.

I cleared history/data multiple times, already had Fraudulent website data on, blocked all cookies, and blocked popups. None of this worked so I finally had to do a restore and start the iPhone as if it were new. I am assuming the backups had the problem so hopefully this works since I have lost all of my info.

A couple hours later and the ads have reappeared. I restored my iPhone as a new phone and redownloaded my apps only for the ads to return. Is it possible that my wifi is infected?

If you mean your router, then yes, that's possible. One way to check is to turn off WiFi and see if the problem persists.

Another possibility; are you syncing Safari with Safari on a computer, and could someone on that computer be accessing those sites?

The only reason I do not think it is my wireless router is because my macbook and my roommates phone/computer have experienced no issues. I just deleted the app to see if the issue goes away so we will see how that goes. I do not have my Safari synched and I am the only one who uses this phone and computer and I do not use "adult finder" or anything similar haha

I was told that Apple products get hit by viruses , but guess what they do !! I have been repairing computer systems since 1980 . I did find a virus in my iphone 5 and in my MacBook . Some of the virus problem depends on your online content .

You did not find a virus in your iPhone 5 unless you jailbroke it. The day there is an iPhone virus it will make headlines around the world. I truly pity anyone who uses your services to fix their computer if you don't know the difference between a virus and a dodgy web site.
