Q: I stand to lose ProTools LE 8.0.5 if I update to Lion or higher...

I'm having problems syncing my iPhone 5s iOS 8.1.2 with iTunes 10.4 on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I recently restored my phone to factory settings in order to complete an unlock from my network provider. When I tried to reboot my iPhone backup my phone would not sync with iTunes (presumably because it automatically updated to 8.1.2 upon restoring my phone). I'm aware that 8.1.2 needs a newer version of iTunes to be able to sync properly.

With that in mind it seems like my only option to get my phone working with iTunes again is to update my OS. My biggest concern with this is that I own ProTools LE 8.0.5, which I use very regularly and is working a dream on Snow Leopard. If I do update my OS to Lion or anything higher I stand to lose ProTools and buying the newer version just isn't an option for me at the moment.

I know that I'll eventually have to succumb to the software updates and lose ProTools but for now does anyone know of a way that I can keep both my iPhone/iTunes sync and ProTools working on my MacBook?
