Q: Are there thunderbolt adapters that support VGA or DVI monitors?

Are there thunderbolt adapters that support VGA or DVI monitors? I know the display adapters supported VGA, DVI and HDMI. I'm wondering if the video in the thunderbolt ports could also be adapted to these former video standards.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
