Q: How do I add an existing contact to an existing group on I-Phone 5s?

How do I add an existing contact to an existing group on the I-Phone 5s with the latest version of the IOS? I cannot find information in the Apple I-Phone Support online. The only way to add someone to an existing group seems to be to create a new contact. Is that the case?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

Assuming your using imessage and all participant are Apple users Send a group message with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
