Mac 10.6.8 shut down, unplugged few days, then would start. Fine for 2 months shut down again, would not restart until unplugged for couple of days. Again working fine??

Mac 10.6.8 shut down and would not restart. Took to tech, on bench for few days, then started up fine. Two months later sequence repeated. Now working fine. Problem??, as I suspect it will recur.
