Change of capitalization in iTunes song info not showing up on iPod?

I know it's strange but I recently decided to change all the information in my iTunes - every song title, artist name, album name, etc - to lowercase. However, whilst it shows up fine as lowercase in iTunes itself, after I sync it to my iPod, for some reason nothing changes except the song titles - artists and album names remain in title case. I've tried looking around for answers and nothing seems to work for me...is there any way I can get around this at all?

iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 8.1.2, null

Philistine! Surely You Know That Media Should Be Tagged In TitleCase. 😝

I suspect you will need to backup, restore as new, then restore your backup.

Also, go into Edit > Preferences > Store and turn off

  • Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases
  • Share details about your library with Apple

and on any iOS device go to Settings > Music and turn off

Show All Music

otherwise you are likely to be shown the original store version of any metadata.
