Is there any way to get OSX to have a virtual spooler that when you drop a file on it, it will create a PS or EPS file. You could do this in OS9, but i cant seem to do it in Tiger
Thanks

I have been wondering the same thing. I use LATEX
and have always made my figures in Powerpoint
for presentations and then need to transfer them
to LATEX in eps format.
OS8-9 would let you write an EPS file when you printed.
I currently have to transfer to Illustrator which can
be tedious.
The new OS seem to only write PS files only after
PDF compression which is lossy and still requires
conversion to EPS.
There's a script in /Library/Scripts/Printing\ Scripts that will convert certain file types to PostScript. You can build the "Convert To PostScript" script, save it as an app, and drop files on it.
I have nowe actually found a product that will provide a PS spooler that canbe shared networked and avaliable to any one via our OSX server, its great.
