Welcome to the Support Communities! The articles below will explain how to see how much of your iPhones capacity is being used by Photos and other data, and how to delete the photos from your device. I suggest you create a backup of your photos by importing them into your computer before deleting them from your iPhone.

Delete photos or videos from Camera Roll

TK Add this task when information is available about doing it with iCloud Photo Library beta.
To check the amount of storage iCloud uses to back up photos and videos from your iOS device, do one of the following:
On your iOS 8 device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage, tap the name of your iOS device, then look below Photo Library in the Backup Options list.
On your iOS 7 device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, then look below Camera Roll in the Backup Options list.
