Q: Image Sizes in iDVD Themes

I know this has been asked before but there doesn't seem to have been a definitive answer.

What size and resolution do images need to be in order to fit into the standard drop zones in iDVD vers 7.

I realise they can be repositioned by holding down cmd  when they have been dragged across but I need to know a rough guide on their size and resoultion so they appear correctly (ie not over sized or stretched to fit)

If anyone can put this in a nutshell I would be grateful!

Thanks

There is no set size.  Many drop zones use 4:3 size ratio images (the same as used in the slideshows) and others only display part of the image regardless of the size or ratio.

I've used trial and error in the past -- sometimes cropping and sometimes adding an edge to the photo's "canvas" to make the drop zone image look right.  For the last few years I simplified my approach and mostly use a static theme (no motion) with a custom photo background (drag and drop an image onto the background) and text-only buttons.
