Hi ....I have a Macbook pro 15 retina mid-2012 model.
My battery these days runs out pretty fast. On normal usage with internet connection it drains in about 3 hours. Does this mean I need to change my battery??

Go to ASP under power and check the cycle count for the battery. If its high say 300 then getting ready to change. My mid 2012 rMBPro cycle count is 4 but I use it connected to an Apple thunderbolt display as a desktop.
Hold the option key down and click the battery icon in the menu bar.
If the condition is stated as "Normal", there is no need to replace the battery.

It's not always your internet's fault that your battery drains. Simultaneously press 'Command', 'Option/Alt', and 'Esc'. When the small window appears, click on any unimportant applications or applications you are not using and 'Force Quit' them. Another option is to open Terminal (dun, dun, dun!) and type: "sudo purge" (without quotes). When it asks for your confirmation, type your password. This will open up more RAM on your computer and could possibly save you some battery too. Resetting your PRAM (http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063) If all else fails, bring it to your nearest Apple Store for help.
