When writing an email in Gmail on my new MacBook I would like to increase/decrease the size of certain words for emphasis; perhaps even change the color of said text. I realize if I click "Command" + or - the entire page will be adjusted, but that is not what I wish to do.

When composing messages in Gmail in a web browser on a Mac select the text & use cmd+shift++ or cmd+shift+- to alter the text size. It increases the message text, not the whole UI.
Gmail also has additional formatting & style options next to the blue Send button on the button labeled 'A' that will reveal colour & underline, bold formatting options etc.

Are you using the Apple Mail app or are you accessing Gmail via an internet browser (e.g., Safari)?
Thank you both! I am using Safari and Drew solved my issue. However, when I clicked "this solved my question" or "this helped me" nothing happened. I was able to click "liked". I would like to give Drew full credit. Am I doing something wrong?
