Q: I am unable to log in to my home IMac from a different computer with my apple ID, and would like to know how to do so

I am unable to access my IMac in New York from my sister's IMac in California using my Apple User name and ID.  What must I do

to be able to see my mail, access my Itunes account, etc.  What steps must I follow?
