Edgar I have most all your books and appreciate them. I thought I'd chime in,
I am up in the middle of the night, because I can't stay away....
Most of the upgrade musically is tarteged toward modern electronic pop and dub and that sort of thing, but don't
let that fool you or through you off. The most fun I have had so far is using the new layout and selections in the compressors, they look great,
make sense in their layout... and come with enough presets to help anyone sound better fast.
Most of you know this trick... but you don't have to use apple's drums in the drummer,......I am a songwriter and needed sticks in an arrangement,
so I plugged in toontracks and off I went...their Nashville pack worked without a flaw... and because the compressors are easier to look at and understand...
I went through an old mix and redid it in no time.
Apple is outrunning our ability to learn the depth of their software, don't tell them they might stop, but we users will have to share... I think there are so many ways to solve problems...apple doesn't know all of them....I think the upgrade was 8.5 out of 10.
Just a tip, the only way I see at the moment to get ahead learning is to get Edgar's books. The idea of a manual from apple is disappearing... not necessarily the manual....... but how and what you can do with the software. Edgar's books or endless pdf files from apple.
