Q: 17'macbook pro + projector

Hi all

I have late 2009 mbp 17' OS 10.8 and have purchased a digital projector with the view to play dvds / movies etc. I have mini display port to HDMI cable and when connected the image on the projector screen flickers and is not smooth? What could be the cause the cable? Do I need a mini display to HDMI convertor and a straight HDMI-HDMI cable any advise would be greatly appreciated

JJust an up date purchased the apple approved belkin mini display to HDMI cable. With the adaptor built in and problem solved

Hi matt this is saul i got a problem maybe you can help, my 17"macbook has a dvi socket into which i have plugged an HP ep7122 projector thru the dvi output the macbook has not seen it and i cannot figure why,any ideas would be greatly appreciated
