Logic keeps crashing when i use keyboard

im running Logic pro 9 on a 2012 macbook pro. its been working great ever since i installed it. but today i opened logic and the project loaded and when i hit the space bar to make the music play logic crashed. it did that over 10 times. i then went on and opened a new project. when i hit the number 8 on the keyboard to select the number of tracks i wanted logic crashed. it did that at least 20 times. logic loads up fine. projects load. logic just crashes whenever i type something on my computer keyboard. ive tried deleting logic prefrences, restarting my laptop, shutting it down for a while and it still crashes every time i press a key. can somebody please help me?

Did you delete both the Logic prefs and the CS file?

You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro back to its original settings. This will not impact your song files. To reset your Logic Pro user preference settings to their original state, do the following:

In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.

Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.

Press the Go button.

Remove the com.apple.logic.pro.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.

If you have upgraded from Logic Pro 7, you may also need to remove ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.

Restart Mac

If you are actually using Yosemite rather than Mavericks as per your sig....then you are not alone with this issue

i deleted both prefs and the CS file. yeah im using yosemite. its been working great on yosemite until today..hopefully apple will fix the issue or tell us how

I GOT IT TO WORK!!! i just re updated yosemite 10.10.2 and it works! if anybody is having problems with logic the just re update your OS X and it might work cuz mine did!
