Pages 5.5.2 - How to set default shapes and text boxes?

Hello everyone,

I currently have Apple Pages version 5.5.2 downloaded, and there's something that's driving me up the walls: I cannot (for the life of me) figure out how to set the default shape, size and color of shapes and text boxes. I know on previous versions, you could hit: Format > Advanced > Set default. But, as I can see on my version of Pages, such option doesn't exist.

Please somebody help save me before I throw my Mac across the room 🙂

Thanks guys!

Pages 5 simply lacks a very long list of features.

You can quickly change the shape properties with an Object style, but it lacks one of the essential attributes that Pages '09 gets, which is the Text Wrap.

A way around the problems is to create an Object with all the attributes you want, including the Text Wrap etc and then option drag out copies and use those.
