iPad not recognized by iTunes

iTunes 12 will not recognize my iPad. I know to look in the new location. It does however tell me that the iPad Camera Roll is locked, which it isn't, then when I hit Trust it keeps flashing the Camera Upload Dropbox screen and won't stop if cancel.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

It sounds like your iPad is partially being seen but something is stopping it. Did this work before?

You may want to try this. I was able to fix a problem where iTunes 12.01 on Mac OS X would not recognize my iPhone or iPad but the device WAS recognized in iPhoto.


Another website gave me the hint to download and re-install iTunes. (I also then restarted both the Mac and iPhone and iPad afterward for good measure).
