Jan 22, 2015 2:39 AM in response to davide.pratticoby K Shaffer,Your product information should be available in Support's online database
where it would also show the status of AppleCare or any warranty coverage.
You should be able to see a list of registered products bought from Apple
via your AppleID according to this Support page; I've been able to see a
list of product I've bought w/ Serial Nos. when logged-in with my AppleID.
•How to manage your AppleCare products - Apple Support or here:
http://www.apple.com/support/applecare/view/
Even items where I did not buy an extended product coverage plan, appear.
Hopefully this helps you locate the product serial number. You may also
(if not discarded) have some packaging, parcel delivery verification, or
other item from the time you purchased the product, with Serial Number.
But not always. If you had the retail carton, that number would be on it.
Usually accompanied by a bar code & other information.
PS: the reply ahead of mine seems to be the link I'd lost. The missing link!
Good luck & happy computing!
