Q: (In)compatible versions of IOS

Hi I recently updated (by accident) my Apple TV(ver3) to version 7.02. After that the only iPad that can connect on Airplay  are the one runing IOS 7.1.2. The other iPads and iPhones, that are running version 7.04 can't connect (there are no airplay icon any more) Are there compatible problems with older versions of IOS ? I do not wish to upgrade, because there are Always problems and Apple never let us downgrade, so we allways get stuck with these useless devices. Best regards The former loyal  Apple fan

    No compatibility issues.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your mobile device.

After repeating step 4, twice, it suddenly appeared on the other devices. Although I already had restarted earlier!!??  maybe it failed on loading some code. Is there any possibility in reading the boot log?
