Reminders not allowing me to select a repeat option

If I use my iCloud account to add a new Reminder on my iMac, the app allows me to select a repeat option. However, if I use our business Exchange account to add a new Reminder, the app allows me to select "On a Day" etc., but the repeat option is grayed out. Is this due to some configuration setting on the Exchange server rather than an issue with the Reminder app? Interestingly, I am able to create a Reminder with a repeat option using my iCloud account, and then I can drag that Reminder over to the Exchange server account where the repeat option that I selected is still indicated, but in that list, is unable to be altered. I'm not sure if it will actually function however.
