Help please how can I get my wifi button to work on my iPhone 4s!!!!!! I have tried what Apple support suggested but with no luck- any help will be gratefully received. It has worked up until today

If you really tried everything, then that means there is a hardware error, though communication chips very rarely fail. You could go to an Apple Store to get it checked, and pay for a repair if needed.

Also helpful would be to tell what event preceded this behavior - added App, update iOS, etc.

I'm guessing that you are referring to "everything" as what is contained in this support document? iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim - Apple Support

If that is the case, the last step would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar or Authorized Apple Service Provider and have them see if this is a hardware issue.
