Q: 400gb missing from my hard drive

Hey guys, i was playing around on photoshop and when i went to make a new project it wouldn't allow me saying my "startup disk is almost full" I went to check out my usage and everything is normal besides my "other" folder My other category is taking up over 400gb of data and i have no idea what it is. I've tried using omni disk sweeper and it's not recognizing anything.. the version of osx i am using 10.8.5 can anyone help me find the file that is taking up this amount of space?

What do you mean by that? Does it open?

Try Grand Perspective (free) and open it. It also will show all of your files and the respective sizes.

well just restarted my mac and now its saying i have all my space back..
