Home sharing on iTunes on PC laptop will not connect to Apple TV.

I can not get my home sharing on my Apple TV to sync with the iTunes on my PC laptop. I have the most recent updates for the Apple TV and on my iTunes. My laptop and my Apple TV are on the same network wifi. I cannot figure out what else I can do to fix this problem.
