Unable to use Lync 2013 on iPhone 6plus, ios 8.1.2..

I am unable to use Lync 2013 on my iPhone 6 plus running on ios 8.1.2. Previously, I was able to use it on my iPhone 5. I get the following error message:“Can’t connect to the server. It may be busy or temporarily unavailable. Please try again.

Please help to solve this issue.

I have the same issue with my users on lync 2013, they want us to install new RootCACert file on the device to test. how do I install root certificate files on an ipad. the issue here is we do not manage our users devices they are privately owned, so cannot go an install certificate files on 1000 users device manually?

what changes need to happen on lync server?
