Hello,
this may help:
See this screenshot for visual aid:
When you open your mail next, it will prompt to import mails. Agree with this. Now your mails ought to have their content back.

Let me be a bit more clear.
The body of the message is there - but it only appears if I open the email. But when I hover over the email header, there is no right panel that displays the body of the message.
I am not sure if I explained this properly.

That did it - thank you.
I came here with the same problem. Solved now 🙂 Cheers!
You sir (or madam?) are a genius.
Gahh cant tell you how much this helped.
Cheers.
This didn't help me and I'm in panic mode. It just still shows a large gray area...moving that arrow only makes it bigger/smaller.
This didn't help me. All it does for me is move the 'grey area' bigger/smaller. Like...I can't see that little 'dot' as you've kindly shown in your screen shot? It just increases or reduces my big grey area where my messages used to show. Frustrating!
I have this problem as well. I can see all of my mail headers in the menu column on the left, but when I open (click-on) the mail header the email I open has no content in the body, or "grey area". Dragging the boundary, or resizing has no effect at all.
