Can't see email message content

I was deleting old emails on my MacBook Air and now I can not see the content of my email message old or new.

What have Idone and how can I correct it please

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Hello,


this may help:


  1. Stop your Mail application from the menu: "Mail > Quit Mail"
  2. Open the Finder and click: "go > go to folder"
  3. Enter the following into the box, including the ~ (I recommend you simply copy-paste) ~/library/mail/v2/maildata/
  4. Click [go] and in the Finder-window that opens, delete all files starting with the word envelope
  5. Once deleted, restart your OS X via " > Restart"

When you open your mail next, it will prompt to import mails. Agree with this. Now your mails ought to have their content back.

this may help:
