can i return my iPad after i jailbroke it?

I jailbroke my iPad Air a few hours ago. But then i decided that i dont really want to jailbrake my iPad and i just wanted to keep it the way it is. so on the iPad in the settings menu i clicked "erase iPad". I wasnt worried because i already backed it up on itunes. so while it had the starting sreen (the first screen that would come up when you click the power button to turn the device on),i waited and waited but it wasnt turning on. i tried to turn it off but it was like it was frozen or something. i found a way to turn it off by pressing the power button and home button at the same time. im gonna take it to the apple store tomorrow to see if they can fix it. since i got it a few days ago i still have the one year warranty. Can i exchange it or will they say they cannot because its jailbroken?

Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3743 - unauthorized modifications to the iOS (this hacking process is often called "jailbreaking"). "Apple strongly cautions against installing any software that hacks iOS. It is also important to note that unauthorized modification of iOS is a violation of the iOS end-user software license agreement and because of this, Apple may deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software."
