How do I delete notifications by websites from notification center in Mavericks?

I've added notifications from a few websites, but I find them now annoying. I can only turn them off in System Preferences > Notifications, but how can I delete them?

No delete button, no right click works, and back space and delete don't work.

Most responses to questions on how to delete annoying notification apps (like BroBible, PopSugar, etc.) direct users to first open "System Preferences" and then go from there. This only allows you to "block/deny" the banner--NOT completely delete it.

To COMPLETELY DELETE notification apps do the following: 1) open Safari; 2) then click on "Safari" in upper left corner; 3) select "Preferences"; 4) in Preferences, go to "Extensions"; and 5) you are there--select the notification app(s) you wish to delete. Then click on "Delete/Remove" found in the BOTTOM LEFT corner.

Note: you can only delete notification apps if the website is not currently open in your browser.
