I have an iMac and a MacBook Air
the iMac is connected by ethernet and has internet connection
but neither it nor the printer attached to it is visible to the MacBook air on my network (also ethernet wired and with good internet connection).
So confused.
help, please?

Thank you, Mike...but I've added a printer before so I'm familiar with that process.
What adds to my confusion is that the iMac can see my macbook air on the network, but not vice versa. And since my MacBook Air can't see my iMac, it also can't see the printer attached to it on the network--even though I've set all sharing functions to allow full access

Looks like I just needed to reset the PRAM on the iMac....all seems to be copacetic now
