Hi all. I juse ordered a macbook pro a1151 from ebay, the 17 inch model. It doesn't come with any operating system discs, so how would I install windows 7 in bootcamp without the os disc? It has 10.6.8 snow leopard pre installed. Thanks!

You'll have to go buy yourself a Windows 7 installer disc. It's never been included with the computer.
I know that, what I meant is it doesn't come with any os x discs, sorry for the confusion
Then you will need to see if you can purchase replacements from Apple. Yours is an obsolete model, so Apple may no longer have replacements.

You can look for discs on eBay, ask the seller to provide them, and purchase a copy of Snow Leopard:

After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
You may not be able to run Windows 7, I think, due to the age of the computer.

No, it won't. The first link contains a chart of what versions of Windows can be installed by hardware and Boot Camp. As I said, I don't think you can run Win 7 on that model. It's too old.

I don't recall what's in the table, but I think you are limited to XP and Vista.
