Q: Can you receive telephone calls using WiFi calling?

I know Wifi calling allows calling out from the phone.

Can one receive telephone calls from others when in a Wifi calling mode?

That is, if the cell phone connection is unavailable and wifi is, can you receive telephone calls using Wifi?

I know this feature only works with iPhone 5s and above using iOS8.

Presently, I think T-Mobile is the only carrier supporting it as well.

The WiFi calling offered by TMobile in the U.S. Is such a service. It allows you to make, and as far as I know, receive calls over WiFi when the cellular signal is inadequate.

That sounds like a good question for TMobile.

    From T-Mobiles Web Site:

    What is Wi-Fi Calling?

Wi-Fi Calling allows customers to make and receive calls and texts (SMS & MMS) over a Wi-Fi connection. Using Wi-Fi Calling is easy – customers won’t even know they’re making a Wi-Fi call. Simply connect to an available Wi-Fi network with a Wi-Fi Calling enabled smartphone and continue to make a call or send a text as you would over a cellular connection. No separate app, log-in or number is needed.

Their web site indicates that you can receive calls as well as make calls on your cell phone using the wifi connection.

Thus, if you don't have good cellular coverage at home but have a good wifi connection,  the WiFi calling capability should help.

I remember a number of years ago, Nextel phones had this capability but it never caught with others.

I think the reason was because the cell phone companies were still charging by the minute and making a wifi call seemed like it should have been free since the user was providing the connection.

What is your question? Yes you can receive calls just fine - it works just like one has regular cellular service
I have T-Mo and WiFi calling enabled - it works like a charm

There were some issues in Sep 2014 - search the communities for WiFi calling   Joe Streno - but T-Mo and Apple engineers seem to have fixed that -
