Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Can we please bring back the colored labels for names of files, folders and for calendar entries. The 'tag' dots simply do not stand out when scanning the screen.

Very much like the giant step backward that was taken by OSX coders when the calendar "agenda" list function was removed (and then replaced by popular demand), I'm hoping that people who were previously using color-coded file, folder, and calendar labels will join me in requesting the return of that function (and expansion in the number of colors, too). You simply cannot visually scan the little "tag" dots as easily as a label, and calendar codes are much harder to see, too.

Thanks.

Folks are trying to be helpful with workarounds for the label coloring issue, but third party solutions don't work in a global network environment that rely on easily identifiable color coded files and not some tiny dot near said file that can barely be seen. Also installing third party apps (especially in a corporate environment) is not an option, especially not for every machine that already had the function before Apple decided to break it.

Apple needs to bring back color LABELS and leave tags as is for anyone who wishes to use them.
