Recorded videos on iPhone 6 not playing!!

I recorded a couple of videos on my new iPhone 6 from a concert, each around 6:00 minutes long. When I tried playing them back they just didn't work.

The thumbnail version as well as the actual screen on all the videos are plain white and when you select the video to play it a message pops up saying,"Cannot be opened"....what the ****?

I tried transferring the video files to my Mac and opening it there, no luck as well...Quick Time player displays the same message saying,"this file cannot be opened". I have tried using VLC media player as well but it just doesn't open. The file size is being displayed and its taking up space but its not opening, only a white screen is being displayed. This has never happened before and its bloody annoying.

Any help/suggestions on how to get the videos back will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

No data will be lost.

Hi:

I am having the same issue.

I updated the Ios 8.1.3 and since then none of the videos are opening.

Have you found a fix?

Hi, also having the same problem. I recorded a 2 minute video about a week ago and had not problems at all but then I recorded another video two days ago and it is just a white screen with a play button but the Cannot Open message comes up. Tried importing it but says not supported format. It says Cannot Open on the phone. Powered down and up. Tried reset. Took out SIM card etc etc. No luck and it was a precious moment that I have now lost.

This did not work......I tried it multiple times.

mine is iOS 9.1.
