Q: iTunes can't backup my iPad as backup is not configured

Hello,

 

I have left my old iPad for an iPad Air.

This is what I did:

- backed old iPad up

- initialised new iPad

- when asked, I selected restore from backup, rather than initialise new iPad

 

Everything works fine.

Through iTunes (have checked and I have the latest version) I can synchronise, transfer purchases, but not back up.

 

I get the message that backup is not configured?

 

Did I do the first initialistion wrong, I.e. I should have selected NEW and afterwards use my old iPad backup?

That's past anyway: is there anything I can do now to enable the backup to happen?
