Q: Why is my mac laptop calendar not syncing with my iPhone6?

My 4S calendar showed my laptop calendar perfectly. Since I bought an iPhone6, the events I put on my laptop calendar are not showing up on my iPhone6 calendar. iCloud is on, calendars are checked.
