Help, Ipad 2 working but screen gone black!

Hi everyone,

I own an Ipad 2 since december 2012 and I never had problems with it, until tonight. The Ipad screen suddently went black. Then after a while it worked smoothly for, let's say 30 minutes. I noticed some sudden noise and flickering, and my little guy went black again. Since then the situation hasn't changed much... I still can see retroillumination if I push the buttons, and the device is working fine since I notice activity ( email related sounds, charger etc. )

I tried the reboot combination, didn't work. I tried to conect it via Itunes on my iMac computer. The device was promptly recognized, but I couldn't go any further because Itunes asked me to confirm the procedure on my iPad... which of course doesn't work! What can I do?

Hello bettieunderdog,

If you are stuck with a black screen on your iPad, then take a look at the article below. You have done a few things but you may need to restore it by using recovery mode and I have provided the steps for that as well.
