Taking music off ipad

You can transfer the music into iTunes on your computer and the delete it from the iPad.

You can delete the music on your iPad by swiping from right to left across an album or individual songs in the Music app to bring up the red delete button - or by going to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Edit. after you tap the Edit button the red circle will appear to the left of albums or songs in the Music app. Tap that to facilitate the delete feature.
