Jan 25, 2015 10:13 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby dtm1976,I don't have the option under mail to set sync time. Email is IMAP account on this new iPad Air. Old iPad is POP and I don't have this problem of emails disappearing after several days.

Jan 26, 2015 6:11 AM in response to dtm1976by ChitlinsCC,Puzzling as to how the new got to be IMAP, unless you chose that when setting up the account
Using old as a model, delete account on new and redo it as POP
IMAP is determined by the provider's system. Even more puzzling how IMAP was retrieving POP account mail at all.

Jan 26, 2015 3:30 PM in response to dtm1976by bobseufert,Some where along the lne the Mail app changed from hom many emails you could keep to the lenght of sync, it's been this way at least since IOS 6. It's normal, to free up room on your iPad. Remember just because a email auto-deletes it's not gone, it's just not on your iPad. You can go to your email account onlne to see how many email you have. You can also use the search field if you also know the name. if you live near an Apple Store it might be a good time to stop in and find out why you don't have the option to change the sync amount.
