Can I connect two Mac Minis using an Ethernet cable?

I have two Mac Minis and would like to connect them together so that each Mac Mini can access the others hard drive. Do I simply connect them via Ethernet?

Thanks in advance,

Just connect them to the same network, either by wifi or Ethernet (fast) and use file sharing

Yes. If you do not want to use the "storage" compute as a coputer yo can boot that i Target disk mode and connect the two computer bu either Thunderbolt or FireWire. That way the internal drives of the "storage" Mac will show just like regular drives n the the other Mac.

The following apples to all OSX version but note that only newer computers have Thunderbolt.
