I just recently reformmated my laptop and now my Facetime is nowhere to be found. Any suggestions on how to get it back without purchasing a new one?

Assuming you are using the same Apple ID that bought it originally, you should be able to download it from the Purchased section in the Mac App Store App for free.

Thank you for your reply. I thought the same thing too, but it doesn't even show on my list of purchase. I have no other apple ID, except the one I currently have.
Are you completely sure its not their. I'm pretty sure, Facetime is built -in to Yosemite now.
Have you tried a Spotlight search for it?

Yea, I did a search in the app section, in the laptop (spotlight), and its nowhere to be found. Take a look at this...I just tried to purchase Facetime and this happens.
If you're running Yosemite as your profile shows, FaceTime is built in to the OS and it should be in the Applications folder. If you had copied an older version to some other folder, you don't need it. You can't download it from the App Store.
Yes. Its understandable. As the version in the store was for earlier Osx versions that did not include it ,built in.
As I said Yosemite should have it built in.
Phil0124 .... I feel like such an idiot! I found it in my app folder. I did a search and couldn't find and found it just by going into my app folder. I should have looked a little bit harder. In any case, I THANK YOU so much for your help!
