I pod Nano 6th Generation frozen

As above, it's stuck on the music icon. I've tried resetting it dozens of times, as well as connecting it to the mains but all to no avail, help...

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.


If your iPod nano is unresponsive and will not respond after trying to reset it, please put the iPod into Disk mode and then restore using iTunes.


iPod nano (6th generation)


  1. Before placing the iPod into Disk Mode, verify that it has a charge.
  2. Reset the device by pressing the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display shows the Apple logo. This should take about eight seconds.
  3. When the Apple logo appears, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk Mode.
