cant access netflix using apple tv box tried for 2 hours

hi. iam new to this so finding it difficult to understand things . its a new apple tv box installation. just tried to get netflix on my tablet seems to be ok but didnt register i was trying to do on my tv any help would be appriciated.
Tell us exactly the steps you are taking with what device (Apple Remote? iPad?)
downloaded Itunes today created apple acount on my laptop all went well.opened apple tv box useing apple tv remote clicked on netfix .then on 30 day free trial it then went to accessing netfilx for half a hour , closed it tried and tried again gave up...
