Is your Mac new enough?
System Requirements
To see if your Mac works with AirDrop, make sure you’re in the Finder by clicking the desktop (the background area of your screen), or by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock. Then, check to see if AirDrop is listed as an option in the Go menu. If you don't see AirDrop listed, your Mac doesn't support this feature.
In order to transfer files between a Mac and and an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Those go to the people that helped.
Yes, I read your reply and thank you. It was my first time to ask for help and obviously
I did it all wrong, so sorry. Will not use again.
I
Yes, my first time to ask for help here. I did not know I had awarded points to myself
certainly did not intend to. Please forgive, will not attempt to use again.
Thank you so much. You solved my problem. I have been informed that
I have not used this forum properly. So sorry, but thank you anyway.
Don't feel bad, this happens all the time. People also award points before testing the suggested solution, only to find out it doesn't work. Please feel welcome to post here again. There are people who are willing to help. All the The hatter was trying to do was point out how the point system is supposed to be used. It wasn't a personal attack aimed at you.
