Hello 4saucy, & welcome to apple discussions.

The problem is not your Safari or os or the version of Safari, it is the site.

Safari 2.0.4 did not handle this website any better that Safari 1.3.2 I tried
both.

The site http://www.qvc.com/ failed validation here are the results translates to one very poorly coded web site.

Failed validation, 169 errors

On Safari 2.0.4 os Tiger 10.4.8 below are the errors logged in my Console

[222] http://www.qvc.com/:ReferenceError - Can't find variable: cType
(event handler):Null value
(event handler):Null value
(event handler):Null valu...
and on & on with more of the same message

In the Safari Preferences/Security tab, a lot of clip.clip cookis on my puter & qvc, if i were you i would delete those.

Truthfully, i can access all sites with my Safari 1.3.2 , I can access with 2.0.4. Hope this helps some. Please let me know if there are other sites
you would like to have me try w/ Safari 2.0.4 to compare.

Regards

p.s. The video preview is spastic on all my computer fp, powerbook, imac intel, which i just tried the site on.

What problems are you having on this site? I can at least load the home page with no rendering problems obvious using Safari 2.0.4. I'll wait for direction before navigating into the shopping chaos! User uploaded file

Of course, Firefox is always a good alternative to Safari where web sites won't cooperate. You can download a copy of Firefox here. Works with any version of OS X after Jaguar 10.2.8.

QVC.com does not work on my computers either with Safari. This just started today. The product search doesn't work and the 24 hour product review doesn't display correctly. I use the latest version of OS X and Safari, so it isn't helped by updating to Safari 2.

I e-mailed QVC about this on their web feedback thru customer service. They usually respond that I should be using Windows and Internet Explorer when I point out these kinds of issues to them (e.g., their videos have never run correctly with a Mac) but I hope that if we bug them enough they might start to respond to Mac user needs.

Hi again, 4saucy & all here; )

I tried Firefox, on my intel it will not load the video clips without this required plugin ☚DO NOT click on this LINK if you are not using FIREFOX, ( it sure does emulate what it did on both my Safari versions)

So Firefox with a downloaded plug in is an option, they say jump!

Emailing them asking for support is one thing you can do as Ann did.
Or use Firefox with the plugin they supply. Then we get into yet another
third party plugin....

Hope we have helped some, please let us know.
